Calming the Mind, Cooling the Emotions - a workshop for Perimenopause*

Every woman will go through the menopause, but every woman's experience of it is different. 
By developing knowledge, support and community menopause can be made more manageable and women can become empowered by their experience.

Join specialist yoga teacher Bel Harvey in this 3 hour workshop which explores symptoms commonly experienced during Perimenopause* (the period of time leading up to Menopause is usually experienced in the 40s/50s and can last an average of four years) and what we can do to manage symptoms and support ourselves on the journey to and beyond menopause. 

This workshop will explore numerous themes but the main focus will be on irritability, anger surges and mood disruption. And why Perimenopause is a wild ride of hormonal fluctuation. 

We will discuss how to combine western health approaches with the eastern practices of yoga and meditation. How to apply breath work and mindfulness. 

The practice will include elements of gently paced dynamic yoga and elements of Yin and Restorative Yoga. 

There will be an opportunity for reflection and journaling so please bring a pen and note book with you. 

This workshop is part of a series that will explore all stages of the menopause:
Perimenopause, Menopause, Post Menopause and each workshop will have a unique theme. 

We will explore stress, nutrition, symptoms, causes and how to find your voice at this transformational point of your life.

Over time you will build a comprehensive toolkit and a sense of community, perhaps even a sense of sisterhood.

This is an 'in studio' workshop - in the case of the studio being forced to close (for C19 for example) the workshop will be rescheduled.

*Whilst the symptoms we're exploring are more common in Perimenopause this workshop is open to women in all stages of the menopause if they feel the topics are relevant. If in doubt contact Bel at [email protected]
