Stress and anxiety often overwhelm us due to our brains' heightened sensitivity to threats. This natural response throws us into fight, flight, or freeze mode, and for many, especially those who’ve experienced trauma (which, let’s be honest, is nearly everyone), moving out of this state can be difficult. Yet, staying in these heightened states can strain our lives and relationships. Learning to transition out of these states is essential – not just for ourselves but for everyone around us.
What to Wear and Bring
Please wear comfortable, loose clothing that allows you to sit on the floor. Bring a mat if you have one, along with a water bottle and a cosy layer, such as warm socks or a jumper.
