YOGA FOR SWIMMERS AND SWIMBLERS

Join us on our next focused ’Sports Yoga’ workshop and learn methods to improve your swim enjoyment and technique. 

Saturday July 1st at 1pm with Vanessa

Whether you enjoy ploughing up and down the lanes or feeling the freedom of open water this workshop will unlock new understandings of how you can enjoy your swimming more.  Including how you can maintain mobility in the joints, strength, flexibility and openness in the body and improve your understanding of the swimmer’s breath. 

This workshop is relevant to all members of the swim community be you a triathlete looking to improve upon your time, a lane swimmer looking to better understand the state of flow and also - this next group are close to our heart - open water swimmers whether you swim through the cold months or not. How can you harness the breath to brave the winter swims? How can you build stamina to stay in the water longer? How can you explore a variety of strokes to keep your swims interesting and varied and reduce physical niggles?

We’re really excited about this one. As well as being Yogis we have a core group of Open Water Swimmers within the Breathing Space community with regular local ‘wild swims’ occasional full moon swims and many hours spent discussing the merits of neoprene booties. 

Additionally we support residential swim camps held for children on the path to becoming elite swimmers and share yoga as part of their training.

Masterclasses are 90 minute practices - FREE for members (full unlimited membership and couples membership) and just £15 to all other practitioners. 

Tickets for workshops and masterclasses are non transferable/refundable so please ensure you can attend before reserving your spot.
